Hometown: Mammoth, California
Olympic Outlook: Greg is the only rider in the last four years to beat Shaun in the pipe and he rode strong during the entire US team qualifications. He’s no newcomer to the Olympics either, having represented the US in 2010, placing 12th at the Vancouver Games. Since then Greg’s only refined his riding with back-to-back double corks and 1080s. With the FIS no longer requiring a straight air in a pipe run watch for Greg to spin on every hit.
Potential Downfall: Greg doesn’t have quite as much amplitude as some of the other riders and he lags behind Taylor Gold who has a consistent frontside 1260 and Shaun White who has that Cab 1440 double cork.
